Our Paranormal Investigation
Below are a series of pictures that Emily and I posted to the www.hamcams.com site in January of 2005. We took a trip to the Gold Hill Hotel outside of Virginia City Nevada. The purpose of our stay was to check out the supposedly haunted hotel and town.We got far more than we bargained for.
The events are real and all the photos are real. They have not been altered other than to make enlargements and text. The pictures taken in the bank vault are quite astounding. When I downloaded them to the computer I could not believe what I saw. Had I not taken them myself I would have said they have to be fakes.
At the bottom of the page I posted the raw footage so download them if you wish and make enlargements. The ghost faces appear at the ceiling of the vault. I have only shown the 4 most obvious faces but I assure you there are many more.
When ever we travel (Me and my esteemed spouse) I always like to enquire about the history of the area and its older buildings. On our last trip to Virginia City, NV. we stopped at the Gold Hill Hotel. The bar is the oldest part of the building and I have found that Bartenders are a wealth of information. So in I go, as I saddle up to the bar I order a Roy Rogers (feeling adventurous that day) and I strike up a conversation with the Bartender. Here is one of the interesting stories that I got that day...
It happened a couple of weeks before a young couple with two small children (ages 4 and 6) had stopped to enjoy the Gold Hill Hotels famous brunch (Well worth the trip to partake). After they had finished brunch the parents noticed that their children had wondered over to the large stone fire place and were happily playing. Seeing that all was well the parents decided that they would check out the Hotels garden, afterwards the parents went back into the Hotel to find the children still playing.
It was getting late and the time had come to continue their journey so they told the children that it was time to go. The two children said their good-byes and as the family started to leave the parents asked the children to whom they where saying good-bye to? The oldest said that they had met a new friend a little boy and they had great fun that day with him. The catch to that was the parents had only seen their two childern playing by themselves and there had been no other children at the Hotel that day.
The Bartender went on to tell me of another occurrence that had happen earlier that week with a honeymooning couple from Oregon...ahhhhh But I think I shall save that for another day...

Yet another story

Another story that was told, was about the young couple from Oregon. The couple had just gotten married in Reno. It was early in the evening when they had arrived at the Gold Hill Hotel. They where tired from their long drive, there was only one room left which was Rosie's room. The hotel clerk had mentioned the room in question was haunted. The young couple told the clerk that they did not believe in "all that supernatural stuff" and took the room for the night. They took their luggage upstairs and dropped the car keys into an old milk glass bowl on the dresser. They went down to the Saloon for a night cap before turning in. The Bartender and the couple talked about the history of the Gold Hill Hotel and its adjacent Saloon.
After finishing their drinks the couple went upstairs to their room. While getting ready for bed the woman was pushed and her hair pulled several times. Her husband responding to her cries of distress rushed in and was pushed down upon the bed. At this time the car keys flew out of the bowl and across the room. After a brief struggle with the unseen forces the couple managed to find their keys and ran out of the Hotel with only the cloths on their backs.
The following morning the Hotel clerk got a call form the young couple they where calling her from their car via cell phone. They told her what had happened the night before and that they had been so frightened that they had driven to Carson City and stayed there over night. They asked the clerk if she could get their belongings because they did not wish to step foot in the Gold Hill Hotel. They waited in the car as the clerk brought them their luggage. Before leaving the woman told the clerk that while the episode was occurring there was a strong scent of roses in the room. Thus the young couple dove off vowing never to return to the Gold Hill Hotel and its strange and unexplainable happenings.

The Weird And Unexplained
This is pretty weird. I was looking through some of our digital photos when I ran across this little gem. This was taken Easter 2004 at a family members home that had recently passed away. There appears to be some sort of orb tentacle attached to Cynthia. In the lower right hand side another tentacle can be seen. I was snapping several pictures at the time and none of the others have any anomalies. I am no expert in this field but it does not look like a reflection or glare. Let's just call it interesting and unusual. The picture has not been altered in any way.
Below is an enlargement of the tentacle. If you look closely you can see color changes around the edges and it appears to be holding on to Cynthia's hair. Also there is a clear stretched part in the center. Now if you know anything about pictures at this level of enlargement you would see pixilated changes if the picture had been altered.
